Can you customize dice?
You can get dice customized in small quantities, including just a few dice, for reasonable prices per die. The cost will, of course, be higher than the retail price of dice, and large quantities don’t get much of a price break. You are limited to the colors of stock dice that the manufacturer has available.
How much do dice cost to make?
For a quick start, you can get a dice mold kit and resin kit. With a 64 oz resin kit, you can make each dice between 0.5 oz to 2 oz, depending on the size of the dice. This will make each dice cost about $1 per die. As you can see, the math works out well for dice hoarders.
How do you mass produce dice?
For mass production of dice a special mold design is used. This mold is made up of separate chambers, which create individual elements of the die. As the individual pieces cool, they can be forced together to create a unified single object. The mold is then opened and the die is ejected.
